#2 - The makers of Monopoly are planning a new edition that replaces the traditional London streets with places from around the country, John Humphreys informed Today programme listeners.
Wonderful idea, I'm sure it'll sell well at Christmas. But is it news? Erm, no.

The 'Is it really news?' question occurs to me a lot with the BBC. For instance the story on the front page of their website today about whether parents should be banned from giving their teenagers alcohol. The story went like this: charity makes ridiculous policy suggestion; government promptly rejects the idea.
How is that news?
It's me again by the way :p
Good blog idea.
Who is 'me'?!
I'd suggest (cynically) that it's only 'news' because there's little Westminster village news happening in advance of the local elections and Tony's departure.
